I’ve always been drawn to finding new ways of seeing and interpreting the world around me. My award-winning photography has been exhibited in solo and group shows and is held in both private and corporate collections.

In recent years, painting has become an increasingly important part of my creative practice. My current work explores the landscapes around me, distilling familiar forms into color, shape and abstraction.

What excites me most is the sense of discovery in the process. Each painting seems to lead somewhere unexpected, informing the next and allowing the work to continually evolve.

My work moves between photography and painting, often allowing one to inform the other. My paintings are created primarily in acrylic on canvas, using layers of color, texture and mark-making to explore the landscape through abstraction.

Photography remains an important part of how I see and compose, even when a painting begins with a blank canvas rather than a photographic image. Some of my earlier mixed-media works begin with my original photographs, which I reimagine digitally and then paint by hand using acrylics and pastels.

Each piece is an original, one-of-a-kind work.

I’m inspired by the landscapes around me, especially the California coast and the places where land and water meet. I’m drawn to the patterns, rhythms and unexpected geometry of the landscape — and to what happens when those familiar places are simplified, rearranged and transformed.

I’m also deeply influenced by artists who have explored landscape, color and abstraction in their own distinctive ways. Their work continually challenges me to push beyond what I see and discover something new.
